I have used the Salomon 3D Pro/ULTRA for the past three years for trail running and Adventure Racing. The shoe features a breathable mesh upper that allows the shoe to air out through wet conditions. The Kevlar lacing system eliminates hot spots by enveloping the foot and remains secure through the harshest conditions. The only fault is that they are a bit bulky for Adventure Racing, but I definitely feel that the stability and support of the shoes makes up for the overall weight of the shoe. If one is looking for a light weight trail shoe, I would recommend the Salomon Speedcross 2.
